Almost every undergraduate who says they want to do research has the same problem: no one has ever read their writing closely and told them what is wrong with it.
Papers are not published because someone had a brilliant idea. They are published because someone had an ordinary idea, scoped it honestly, ran the experiments properly, and wrote it up so a tired reviewer could follow the argument.

Will I definitely get published?
No one can promise that, and we will not. What we commit to is that you will finish a piece of work worth submitting, and that you will know how to do the next one alone.
Do I need to already know machine learning?
You need working Python and comfort with linear algebra and probability. If you can implement a paper's method from its description, you are ready.
Who supervises?
Researchers who have published at the venues we are targeting. You meet your supervisor before you enrol, not after.
What if my direction fails?
It might — that is research. Failing early and pivoting well is part of what you are here to learn, and the schedule has room for one pivot.
Can this support a PhD application?
That is the most common reason students join. A submitted first-author paper and a supervisor who knows your work changes an application substantially.
