Does a bot join the call?
No. Nothing appears in the participant list, so there is nothing for other attendees to notice, question or approve. You start it from the call you are already in.
Is my own voice captured?
Yes, and that is the point. Most tools record only what arrives through the call and miss you entirely, so what you committed to never reaches the action items. StorySoFar captures both sides.
What happens to the audio?
It is turned into text continuously, in short passes, and discarded as it goes. A two-hour meeting leaves a few kilobytes of text rather than a multi-gigabyte recording — so there is no upload at the end and your laptop behaves the same at minute 90 as at minute one.
What if the write-up is wrong?
Edit it, or regenerate it from the saved transcript as often as you like. The transcript is kept, so you are never asked to sit through the meeting again.
